Started in 2004 in Pawtucket by former Red Sox pitcher Ken Ryan (hence the KR part of the name), this 11,000-square-foot facility has been located at the spacious indoor entertainment complex that’s anchored by R1 Indoor Karting since 2014. It’s home to public-use batting cages that are equipped with token-operated pitching machines (that throw baseballs or softballs), while additional cages are available to rent by the half-hour or hour for live BP sessions. Advanced instruction is available in group or individual settings, and the facility operates competitive AAU baseball teams for multiple age groups in their KR Express academy program.
