New York Baseball and Softball Practice Facilities

A 6,500 square foot training and fitness center that opened in 2017 in the Red Hook neighborhood, this modern indoor facility features token-operated batting cages that let you choose the pitching machine’s speed and throwing height. HitTrax simulation technology is also found here, as are live BP lanes (with L-screens), pitching tunnels and team practice areas, while instructors are available to give private baseball lessons.
This suburban Buffalo indoor facility has 28,000 square feet of space in which a full-sized practice field and six batting cages are contained. There’s also a practice area with pitching mounds and baseball lessons with staff instructors can be booked to focus on specific skills.
All Stars Academy
An indoor batting cage center located 8 miles north of Albany that also has a 17,500 square foot field. Highlights include the availability of ProBatter and HitTrax simulators, cages with Iron Mike pitching machines that can throw real baseballs or softballs between 30-80 MPH, a staff of instructors with area ties, and programs designed to help players at all levels improve.
The Baseball Center
Established in 2000, this 15,000 square foot, below street level training facility on the Upper West Side of Manhattan is dedicated to instruction and has batting cages that, while pricey, can be rented with multiple pitching machine options (four Iron Mike baseball choices, a softball JUGS and a ProBatter simulator).
The Field House at Chelsea Piers
Four token-operated batting cages are found within the 80,000 square-foot, multi-sport Field House, which itself is found in Manhattan within Hudson River Park. The cages have pitching machines in them and are set up for two different speeds (35 or 55 MPH). Baseball classes are also offered for players aged 3-12.
Founded in 1983 with a mission to develop serious players, this 10,000 square foot indoor training facility is outfitted with five batting cages and two throwing tunnels, and has a staff of baseball and softball instructors that can conduct lessons for individuals by appointment.
Begun in 2017 by former Yankees’ minor leaguer Juan Camacho, this South Shore-based indoor training and instructional development facility for baseball and softball players has rentable batting cages (with pitching machines) plus a 65-foot long pitching tunnel (with a portable mound) while one-on-one training is available on site with staff instructors.
Frozen Ropes Syosset
An indoor baseball and softball training and instructional facility on Long Island that is found within the Long Island Sports Hub, where camps, classes and clinics are among the offerings.
A 10,000 square foot indoor facility that’s located very close to the Syracuse Mets’ stadium, it has 50′ and 70′ batting cage rentals plus their trainers are available to give private instruction and conduct hitting, pitching and league prep classes.
