Run by the city’s parks and recreation department and usually only open from April through August, the facility has 9 hitting lanes serviced by automated pitching machines, which are token-operated (both baseball and softball machines are available).

Opened in 2014 as an addition to the Yegen Golf Club, the 7,500-square-foot Swing Lab facility is dedicated to improving the swings of baseball and softball players, as well as golfers. Baseball hitting lessons are offered and the batting cages can be rented out for individual or team use.

Owned and operated by Billings American Legion Baseball, the Academy began in 2014 and moved into a new 12,000 square foot location in 2018 that contains five batting cages, a four-mound bullpen area, a large space for defensive work, and free and machine weights. The facility is near I-90 and it’s open for all baseball and softball players to use year-round. Private instruction is available plus staff can do video analysis of hitting and throwing mechanics.
