WAA Baseball & Softball Training Center
Operated by the Wheatland Athletic Association, which was established in 1977, the organization’s indoor baseball/softball facility has four batting cages (two 70-footers and 55-footers) in its 5,000 square feet of space. Each cage has a self-fed JUGS baseball/softball pitching machine and can be rented very inexpensively by the general public.
B.I.G. Baseball Academy
This 10,000 square foot indoor facility has eight retractable batting cages and offers year-round camps, lessons and access to equipment like pitching machines, mounds and tees. Operated by a nonprofit organization founded in 2007, the academy has been based in its present location on Chicago’s south side since 2017.
PWA Batting Cages
Found in a shopping center almost directly across the street from Joliet Memorial Stadium, this small space (3,250 square feet) contains batting cages that can be used 24 hours a day, as appointments can be made for any time.
