Square Up Academy
This 23,000 square foot indoor facility was established in 2018 to meet training and instruction needs for baseball and softball players and teams. It has eight retractable batting cages, practice space plus training aids for pitching, and a strength & conditioning room, while private lessons, instructor-led classes and camps are offered.
1st Round Training
Former MLB 1st round draft pick and player Lastings Milledge is a founding partner in this indoor baseball facility located alongside I-75 in the Ellenton Ice and Sports Complex. Batting cage rentals and private lesson bookings are the primary focus in the baseball part of the complex.
Line Drive Indoor Baseball
An indoor hitting facility with five batting cages, four of which are equipped with pitching machines. Three of the cages are outfitted with the computerized HomePlate pitching machine, which can throw a variety of pitches up to 90 MPH. Besides batting practice, hitting lessons and drills are offered in the facility, which is found within an office park building near I-95.
Swing Away Batting Cages
A 7,500 square foot indoor batting cage facility that opened in 2019, it has four cages and each of them include a pitching machine than can throw baseballs or softballs as part of the rental price. Tee stations, and a pitching mound and radar are available for skill-specific practice inside, while a large outside space adjacent to the building can be used for outdoor training.
Florida International Training Center
FITC took over this Extra Innings franchise location in 2018. The 20,000 square foot indoor facility has ten batting cages, which can be rented with or without a pitching machine, and offers camps, classes and individual lessons for baseball players.
